| Testimonials Jeff and Connie Riveria Maya! Apple vacations are fantastic! We just returned a week ago from Riveria Maya. We stayed at Ocean Maya Royale. The staff bent over backwards to make sure everything was excellent! From the bell hops, food servers, housekeeping, front desk all were there to make sure we were taken care of! We went to Tulum to see some Mayan ruins! Amazing day! Thanks to Jill and her staff for making our vacation an amazing adventure! As first-time flyers, we didn't know what to expect but everything went smoothly at the airports. The hotel was absolutely beautiful. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Ron and Diana - The Now Sapphire Resort Dear Dr. Trips: I would like to take the opportunity to let you know about how wonderful our vacation was at The Now Sapphire resort. We visited the Now Sapphire the last week of July. I'd like to share some of our wonderful experience. The service was outstanding, from our check in to check out. The staff in every department was truly concerned about our pleasure. We were constantly being greeted with smiles and asked what they could do for us. They did this because they cared not just because it was their job. The facilities are beautiful. The lobby is stunning, the pool was crystal clear and perfectly clean as was all the restaurants. We have stayed at other resorts in Mexico, the air condition in our room was by far the very best. We were never warm, after being in the sun all day it was so nice to go back to a nice cool room. The food was delicious. We had the opportunity to eat in all the restaurants. Never did we have to wait for a table. The wait staff was very attentive. While dining in the French restaurant our waiter talked and explained so much to us. Breakfast was so enjoyable in the buffet, nothing was missing. I am craving some breads. The bakery items were so yummy. The entertainment staff did a marvelous job with activities all day long. We have been on numerous cruises and the entertainment at our resorts mirrors the cruise ships. Our trip was full of fun and very relaxing. We came back completely rested. Shawn and Brad - Valentin Hi Jill, This note is long overdue, but I wanted to let you know that we were very pleased with our vacation to the Valentin and would return there if we go back. Despite the bumpy start, the rest of the vacation went very well. Finding the short cuts solved the distance problem, and we just avoided Le Marche so we didn't have to deal with birds on the tables. Interestingly, del Mar by the beach was open air and didn't seem to have the bird problem. In case you have another guest like me who is concerned about the food, I learned from a guide on a day trip that all the restaurants at the resorts and major attractions (Xcaret, Xel-Ha) must obtain a food license that is quite stringent-purified water for eating and washing among the requirements. I was able to enjoy the food more after that and had no trouble with it. The Apple representative had just the right touch for presenting us with options but not overwhelming us, and being available. We learned there are very few public restrooms in Playa del Carmen and this is a problem for visitors. We learned that amazingly, many young men in the market in Playa del Carmen just happen to work at our resort, and just happen to have aged grandfathers with a little shop just around the corner from the main street of shops where there are wondrous deals to be had, and of course we don't have to buy anything. (We did-once, then we figured it out) Back at the resort, we learned to shop on the beach where prices are lower because taxes don't have to be paid. We tried many new drinks at the pool, and re-discovered that the more you have, the better they taste. Other than the check in, service was outstanding and entertainment was very enjoyable. We have good memories of warm Mexican nights in the plaza with music and drinks. I said drinks again, didn't I? We bought some photos from the resort photographer because where else can I get a picture of myself holding a large iguana? I was impressed by the organization of the trip to the Xel-Ha. They have the bus system running on a dime, contrary to what I have come to expect with other cultural attitudes towards timeliness. We always knew where and when to be, and the wrist bands assured we got home safely. After seeing some of the well-marinated tourists, I see why they use wrist bands. The guide wasn't kidding when he told us to write our resort and room number on our foreheads if we intended to drink in the sun! All in all, your recommendations were spot on and the Valentin was an excellent choice for us. If/when we travel again, we're going through Dr. Trips Travel! Went to Venice, Florence and Rome in Italy and had the best trip of our life!!! Everything was perfect! We went with my husband's mom, two brothers and their wives and we all had such a great time. The resort was excellent and the staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was one to remember. the private transportation was a long wait at the airport, but the wonderful week at the resort made up for that! Tim and Michele - Punta Cana Hi Jill, I wanted to thank you for booking our fantastic trip to the Rivera Maya. The Valentin was a fabulous resort, Tim and I were very pleased with our room, great service and the outstanding food. Each time our trips keep getting better. Michele Tim Debbie Washington - Punta Cana - Bavaro Princess The 7 day trip to Punta Cana - staying in the Bavaro Princess was the trip of a lifetime!! It was all that and then some! The resort is beautiful and the staff treats you like royalty. Highly recommend the Party Boat excursion!!! Thanks again!!! Steve - Ohio I just wanted to provide you with an update on our Honeymoon trip to Jamaica. The resort was incredible and we had an amazing time. It rained for a few minutes the second day we were there, other than that the weather was perfect. We didn't really do anything other than take hobbie sail boat trip and couple's massage. The food was good, but do not recommend the house Champagne or Wine (it was a little bitter). The room/view was unbelievable and the staff was very courteous/helpful. There was a conference staying at the hotel the same week, so there were a lot of people, but it wasn't noticeable because of all the available space and ocean side seating. It was nice that the other Secrets hotel was so close, because we would walk to their pool/ocean if we wanted to use their accommodations. I would recommend to anyone planning on visiting in the future that we learned if you don't get up early to find a seat by either the pool or ocean, then later all of the good seats will be taken. We learned that if you go down and get a couple towels, throw them on the seat you want, you can have the seat for the entire day. We saw a bunch of people do this and decided to try it the third day we were there. The only complaint was the flight path back home. I had to basically sprint through the Atlanta airport to catch the connecting flight to Minnesota. There was really no time accounted for going through customs and getting to the gate. But that is no one's fault other than the airlines flight changes. I wanted to personally thank you for helping me plan this trip, keeping our flight seats together, and everything else you have done. As always, another great trip that you have helped me with. I would recommend the hotel to anyone and would definitely love to go back for a vacation. Thank you again, Steve Regina & Dick - Canton, Ohio Thanks for helping my husband picking the 10 day cruise with the Royal Caribbean. We had a great trip. The ship was great and of course the food. We sunbathed in Labsdee, horse-drawn buggy ride through the old town of Cartagena, Columbia and even held a sloth. We went to Colon, Panama and took a ferry ride through the locks - interesting. We went white-water rafting in Costa Rica. Last stop was Grand Cayman where we went snorkling and swam with the stingrays. We kept busy but enjoyed it very much. Thanks again Regina and Dick. Bridget - Ohio The Riu Palace in Punta Cana was the most beautiful place I`ve ever seen. You are a welcome visitor in their country from the minute you step off the plane to the sunshine and warm weather. It was so exciting reaching our resort for the first time to see what a wonderful choice, based on recommendation from Dr. Trips, we had made for our stay. The staff couldn`t be more accommodating and friendly, the food is excellent, and the beaches are breathtaking with cool powdered sugar sand and constant breezes. You also have dining and entertainment privileges at the other surrounding Riu resorts (connected by a beautiful seaside walkway) which is just an added perk! All aspects of this trip said "Vacation!". Highly recommend!
